St. Dominic Old Catholic Capital Campaign

$0 of $500,000 raised

The Diocese of St. Catherine of Siena is currently supporting the growth and ministries of our brother parish in Oshkosh – St. Dominic Old Catholic Community – under the Old Catholic Churches International – they need your help.

A location has been found in Oshkosh that is ripe for development and renewal. The property needs some tender loving care, but then so do we. The purchase price is low, $135,000.00, but the improvements and upkeep prevent us from moving forward at this time. $500,000.00 would not only purchase the property (church with rectory), but would also give the buildings a new furnace, new paint in the basement, new floor in the basement, waterproof the basement of the rectory, and allow us to replace all the carpeting. The bathrooms need to be completely replaced and the church also needs to have ADA accessibility features installed (lifts and seating). The chapel space, however, is just about ready to go – the pews need to be secured and an altar needs to be installed, but otherwise it’s ready! Additionally – it would give us sufficient funds to refurbish the existing organ and rewire the facility for Networking and video ministry. Essentially we would be able to fully restore the grounds and have enough left over to run for about a year.

Here are some snaps of what we’re hoping to buy:
